Frozen Coffee Mocha

                                                        Frozen Coffee Mocha

  • 1 tray of frozen coffee ice cubes
  • 1 cup + 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 and ½ tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (fine-grained)
  • 1/2 tablespoon vanilla

Freeze some coffee in an ice-cube tray. Heat 2 tablespoons of milk in the microwave. Mix cocoa powder and sugar in the milk. The milk should be hot enough to melt the cocoa powder and add sugar to this mixture of milk and cocoa powder. Add the remaining milk to this sweetened mixture. Blend this mixture and add the coffee ice cubes to the blender, and blend it until it becomes smooth.

Coffee ice cubes?! Now, THAT'S a new way to get your caffeine fix!!!

Honestly, I think everyone needs more cold drinks right about now. Especially since, thanks to the heat index, it felt like it was over 100 degrees yesterday where I am 🙁

You sound like you're near me, Ms. B.

(Hmmm…I love it when I rhyme.)

NY had the highest national temps yesterday of any other state. Paid the price driving home when the lightning flashed constantly and the rain made driving almost impossible. Today, we're coasting in the middle 80's.

      Works for me…

Yummy!! I am going to definitely try this recipe! I don't like hot beverages in this weather, but I still need my coffee!! So iced coffee is perfect for me!

Hope you are having a great summer so far!

    • Slidecutter says:

It's been so bloody hot here, Cherie and, on top of all the wedding celebration planning, I'm frazzled, lol

I've done this with tea, as well. Just brew the tea a little stronger and freeze, maybe adding some chopped mint. Then you can run it through the blender with chopped ice which will water the strength down some…add sugar, sweetener or honey, for some Sweet Tea.

Finally, comments are working again w/Blogger so I'm able to visit all my favs. Also getting used to WP more each day!

I've never been a huge iced coffee fan, but I can tell you right now I'd take an iced ANYTHING. It is HOT. And that does look delicious.

    Stay cool, Patty!

After the massive storms we had here in the Northeast yesterday, I thought temps would ease but today it's yucky and muggy again.

These are delicious and you can add your own flavorings to tweak the coffee.

Enjoy the week-end, Katie….I'm gearing-up for my first writing prompt post; will have to get up early Sunday and link-up before I head out to teach an 8 hour Pistol Safety Course.

      I'm just so excited!!

  4. Yumm … as the weather heats up, this is the perfect way to enjoy coffee … icee and creamy 🙂 Thanks for sharing!

    • Slidecutter says:

Coffee starts calling my name around 3 or 4 each morning; I have the Cuisinart set to brew and the smell just drifts through the house.

One week over, four weeks until our big wedding celebration for my son and his lovely new wife. I'm busy, busy, busy but it's a very good thing.

Hope those pages are all done, call me if there's any wine left over…<s>
